Except for the Lake, Club House and Golf Course, all properties within the Village of Loch Lloyd are zoned single family residential.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is an appointed government board charged with recommending to the Village Board of Trustees action on all zoning matters. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Village Board, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and one (1) Trustee elected by the Board of Trustees.
The primary purpose of zoning is to segregate uses that are thought to be incompatible. Zoning is used to prevent new development from interfering with existing uses and/or to preserve the “character” of a community.
The Village Attorney and the Village Clerk are responsible for publishing public hearing notices in the North Cass Herald, a legal newspaper, and posting any property, when involved, about certain matters that come before the Commission. Such notices will also be posted through the Village’s email system to all residents who have provided their email addresses.
